Qualification for Wholesale Purchasing

We extend wholesale pricing to anyone in the landscape trade, including designers, architects, installers, maintenance professionals, groundskeepers, horticulturists, garden centers and municipalities. We’re open to the public and welcome customers to walk our nursery at their convenience. Please note, however, that clients must be accompanied by a representative of your company to receive wholesale pricing.

How to Apply for Wholesale Pricing

If you’re in the trade and would like access to our wholesale pricing, complete our application and submit here. Please allow 48 hours for your application to be reviewed and processed. How to Shop Here

New wholesale customers will be assigned a dedicated sales representative - their point of contact moving forward. We encourage customers to walk the nursery and tag material, but ask that a member of our team accompany you. Pricing and orders can also be made by phone or email.

Tagging and Reserving Material

Plant Detectives allows current wholesale customers and their representatives to tag plant material. We don’t require deposit, but if tagged, expect full payment and pick-up within three calendar weeks. After September 1st, we honor tags for a maximum of two weeks. Tags will be removed, without notice, once the tagging period has expired. We ask that you give your sales representative 48-hours advance notice before picking up material.

Plant Detectives reserves the right to revoke tagging privileges for any customer abusing the tagging rules.

Return Policy

We accept returns within 48 hours of purchase with a sales receipt, subject to quality inspection. Products not properly tarped or covered are not eligible for return. To avoid potential exposure to boxwood blight, we do not accept returns or exchanges of Buxus - Boxwood varieties.

We guarantee our plants are true to name, healthy, pest and disease-free when they leave. If you have any issues or concerns, please let us know within 48 hours of purchase so we can promptly address them.

Freight, labor, and other costs are not refundable.

Terms

We accept Cash, Check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. If granted a line of credit, a monthly finance charge of 1.5% will be added 30 days after an invoice’s due date. In case of past due invoices paid by credit card, a 4% finance charge will also be added to the outstanding balance. Plant Detectives reserves the right to change a customer’s credit limit or convert the customer to COD at any time. Returned checks will be assessed a $25 fee.

Sales Tax

The appropriate state sales tax will be applied to all sales unless we have a current, completed Exemption Certificate on file. It is the responsibility of the sales representative to ask about exemption status, and the responsibility of the customer to submit the Exemption Certificate, prior to a sales invoice being issued. Plant Detectives reserves the right to deny any sales tax revision requests after a sales invoice is generated.

Delivery

We offer curbside/tailgate delivery only, with trucks remaining on asphalt surfaces at all times. Our drivers are not responsible for unloading trucks or transporting material to individual planting locations; customers must procure necessary unloading equipment. Rates are determined by geography, order size, and offloading needs—contact your sales representative for details.

Only Plant Detectives team members are allowed on our trucks and equipment. Delivery scheduling involves prior contact from our dispatcher and updates from the driver. Customers must be present at delivery sites to inspect material and sign paperwork. Note any delivery issues on the paperwork upon receipt; unnoted issues will not be addressed.
