Willamette Elegance Hinoki Cypress
Willamette Elegance Hinoki Cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Willamette Elegance') is a slow-growing, narrow coniferous evergreen with an upright, pyramidal habit. It typically reaches a mature height of 10-12 feet with a spread of 3-4 feet. The dark green foliage is arranged in flattened sprays with a slightly drooping appearance. This cultivar is valued for its elegant appearance, tight growth habit, and resistance to deer. It is commonly used in Japanese gardens, as a specimen plant, or in tight spaces such as narrow borders or against walls.
