Sunburst Magnolia
The Sunburst Magnolia, or Magnolia 'Sunburst', is a deciduous tree that is prized for its large, showy yellow flowers that appear in mid to late spring before the leaves emerge. The flowers can reach up to 10 inches in diameter and have a pleasing fragrance. The Sunburst Magnolia typically grows to a height of 20-30 feet and a spread of 15-20 feet, forming a rounded, open crown. The tree has attractive, glossy green foliage that turns yellow in the fall before dropping. This magnolia is relatively low maintenance and adapts well to a range of soil types and growing conditions. It prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soils. The Sunburst Magnolia is an excellent choice for a specimen tree in a landscape or garden, providing a stunning display of color and fragrance in the spring and adding interest and beauty throughout the year.
