Streetspire Oak

Streetspire Oak (Quercus robur x alba 'JFS-KW1QX')
Streetspire Oak (Quercus robur x alba 'JFS-KW1QX') is a narrow, upright hybrid oak selected for its strong vertical form, vibrant fall color, and resistance to mildew. A cross between English Oak and White Oak, this cultivar offers the best of both speciescombining urban durability with refined, symmetrical structure, making it a top choice for street, commercial, and formal plantings.
Distinctive Features
Streetspire Oak grows 45 to 60 feet tall with a columnar habit and a narrow spread of 12 to 15 feet. The dark green, lobed leaves resemble English Oak but exhibit improved disease resistance. In fall, foliage turns a rich red to maroon, a rare trait among upright oaks. The tree produces few acorns and maintains a tidy profile with minimal lateral growth. Bark is smooth and gray when young, maturing to shallowly furrowed with age.
