Split Rock Hinoki Cypress
Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Split Rock' is a small, slow-growing evergreen tree that typically reaches 2-3 feet in height and width after ten years. It has a compact, mounding habit and its foliage is a soft green color. The branches are dense and have a fine, almost fern-like texture, giving it a unique appearance. This cultivar is commonly used as a ground cover or as a specimen plant in rock gardens or other small spaces. It prefers well-draining soil and partial to full sun exposure.
