Pinxterbloom Azalea
Pinxterbloom Azalea (Rhododendron periclymenoides) is a deciduous flowering shrub that is native to eastern North America. It typically grows to a height of 6-12 feet and produces beautiful pink to white blooms in early spring before its leaves emerge. The flowers are funnel-shaped and slightly fragrant, and the shrub has a spreading, irregular growth habit. Pinxterbloom Azalea prefers moist, acidic soil and partial shade, making it an ideal addition to woodland gardens or shaded areas of the landscape. It is also attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
