Ornamental Cabbage & Kale (Brassica oleracea) are cold-hardy, biennial plants grown for their colorful, ruffled leaves, which come in shades of purple, pink, white, and green. While not typically consumed, these varieties are prized for their vibrant foliage, which becomes even more intense in cooler temperatures, making them perfect for fall and winter gardens. Thriving in full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil, ornamental cabbage and kale are ideal for borders, containers, or mixed plantings. They provide dramatic texture and color to the landscape during cooler seasons when many other plants have faded.
