Kindred Spirit Oak

Kindred Spirit Oak (Quercus warei 'Nadler')
Kindred Spirit Oak (Quercus warei 'Nadler') is a compact, columnar hybrid oak known for its tight, upright form, mildew-resistant foliage, and high tolerance to urban stress. A cross between English Oak and Swamp White Oak, this versatile cultivar combines ornamental beauty with exceptional toughness, making it ideal for narrow spaces and structured plantings.
Distinctive Features
This hybrid oak grows 30 to 40 feet tall but spreads only 6 to 8 feet wide, maintaining a consistent vertical form without pruning. The dark green, glossy leaves resemble those of English Oak and turn yellow to bronze in fall. Kindred Spirit produces few acorns and holds its tidy shape even in high winds.
