Fragrant Snowball Viburnum (Viburnum � carlcephalum) is a striking hybrid shrub cherished for its oversized, snowball-like clusters of intensely fragrant white flowers. A cross between Viburnum carlesii and Viburnum macrocephalum, it brings bold form and powerful scent to spring gardens.

Distinctive Features

This upright, rounded shrub reaches 6 to 10 feet tall and wide at maturity. In mid to late spring, it produces large, globe-shaped flower clusters up to 6 inches across, opening from pink-tinged buds. The spicy, clove-like fragrance carries across the landscape. Leaves are deep green and coarse-textured, turning reddish-purple in fall.
