Firestarter Black Gum
The Firestarter Black Gum (Nyssa sylvatica 'JFS-red') is a stunning deciduous tree known for its vibrant foliage and elegant form. In spring, deep green leaves emerge, which transform into a fiery red in early fall, making a bold statement in any landscape. Reaching a height of about 35 feet and spreading 20 feet wide, it forms a narrow, pyramidal crown. In addition to its spectacular foliage, this tree produces small, blue-black berries that attract birds and features inconspicuous spring flowers.
