Regal Prince Oak
The Regal Prince Oak (Quercus robur 'Regal Prince') is a cultivar of the English Oak tree known for its majestic and upright growth habit. It is a deciduous tree that typically reaches a height of 50 to 70 feet, with a spread of about 25 to 30 feet. The Regal Prince Oak has a symmetrical, pyramidal shape with dense, dark green foliage that turns a vibrant golden yellow in the fall. Its leaves are lobed and provide a beautiful display throughout the growing season. This cultivar is valued for its strong and upright branching structure, making it an excellent choice for creating a vertical accent in the landscape. The Regal Prince Oak is adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions and can tolerate both dry and moist sites. It prefers full sun to partial shade and is relatively low-maintenance once established. The tree is also known for its tolerance to urban environments and pollution. Whether used as a specimen tree or planted in groups, the Regal Prince Oak adds a touch of regal beauty to gardens, parks, and larger landscapes.
