Emperor 1 Japanese Maple
Acer palmatum 'Wolff', better known as Emperor I, is a unique cultivar of the Japanese maple tree. It's prized by gardeners and collectors alike for its striking foliage and attractive blackish-red bark. Deeply lobed, finely serrated foliage emerges in the spring with vibrant red-purple tones. Colors gradually mature to a deep, dark purple-red color throughout the summer. In the fall, the leaves turn a brilliant shade of scarlet, adding a spectacular display of autumn color to the garden. It's size makes it an excellent choice for small gardens or container plantings.
