Candytuft (Iberis)

Iberis, commonly called Candytuft, is an evergreen or semi evergreen perennial group valued for its crisp white spring bloom, low mounding habit, and clean edging that makes beds look finished. Our Candytuft collection includes compact forms that hug the ground for borders and rock gardens, as well as slightly broader types that spill nicely over walls and along walkways. In spring, plants cover themselves in flat clusters of bright white flowers that pair beautifully with spring bulbs and early perennials, and the dark green foliage stays neat through the growing season to provide year round texture in milder winters. Iberis grows best in full sun with well drained soil, prefers moderate moisture during establishment, and is especially useful in lean, gravelly sites where many flowering perennials struggle.
