Northern Sea Oats

Northern Sea Oats (Chasmanthium latifolium) is a charming and graceful perennial grass native to eastern North America. Also known as Indian Woodoats, this grass is admired for its arching stems that bear attractive flat, oat-like seed heads that change color as they mature. In the spring and summer, the seed heads start as green, gradually transitioning to a delicate bronze, and eventually turning a beautiful shade of copper or tan in the fall.
