Foxglove (Digitalis)
Digitalis, commonly called Foxglove, is a dramatic flowering plant group valued for tall bloom spires, cottage garden charm, and the way it adds instant vertical focal points in late spring and early summer. Our Foxglove collection includes compact forms for smaller beds, as well as taller selections that rise above neighboring plants with bell shaped flowers in shades of pink, purple, white, cream, and soft apricot, often with speckled throats. Foxglove is a strong pollinator plant, drawing bees into the garden, and it pairs naturally with roses, columbine, catmint, and spring flowering shrubs for a layered, romantic look. Digitalis grows best in partial shade to sun with evenly moist, well drained soil, and it appreciates consistent moisture during establishment, especially in warmer weather. Use foxglove to create a memorable focal point along fences and walls, brighten woodland edges, and add classic cottage style height to mixed borders.
