White Baneberry
White Baneberry (Actaea pachypoda) is an enchanting perennial known for its striking white berries and delicate, lacy foliage. Also called "Doll's Eyes" due to the appearance of its berries, this plant adds a unique and captivating element to woodland gardens and shady landscapes. In spring, it produces clusters of small white flowers atop slender stems, which later develop into the distinctive white berries with a black dot resembling an eye. While the berries are visually appealing, they are toxic if ingested, so caution should be exercised, especially in areas accessible to children and pets. White Baneberry prefers rich, moist soil and partial to full shade, making it an excellent choice for woodland gardens and shady borders.
