Broadleaf Ironweed
Vernonia glauca, commonly known as Broadleaf Ironweed, is a clump-forming perennial with lance-shaped green leaves and tall, stiff stems topped with clusters of small, deep purple flowers that bloom from late summer to early fall. Thriving in full sun and moist, well-drained soil, this native variety is ideal for borders, meadows, and naturalized areas. 'Glauca' provides bold color and attracts bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
