Rattlesnake Master
Eryngium yuccifolium, commonly known as Rattlesnake Master, is a striking perennial admired for its unique, yucca-like foliage and distinctive flower heads. This variety features stiff, sword-shaped, bluish-green leaves that resemble those of yucca plants. In mid-summer to early fall, it produces tall, slender stems topped with globe-shaped clusters of tiny, greenish-white flowers, giving it a spiky, architectural appearance. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, Rattlesnake Master is ideal for prairie gardens, native plantings, and mixed borders. With its unusual form, drought tolerance, and ability to attract pollinators, Eryngium yuccifolium adds a touch of bold texture and interest to any garden setting.
