Tree Philodendron
Philodendron selloum, also known as Philodendron bipinnatifidum, is a robust and popular species of Philodendron known for its large, deeply lobed leaves. Native to South America, particularly Brazil, it thrives in tropical climates but is also commonly grown as a houseplant in cooler regions. The leaves of Philodendron selloum are typically glossy and deeply dissected into multiple lobes, resembling a split-leaf or tree-like appearance. It prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower light conditions. Like other Philodendrons, it requires well-draining soil and regular watering, allowing the top inch or so of soil to dry out between waterings. Philodendron selloum is known for its impressive size and makes a dramatic statement as a focal point in both indoor and outdoor settings, provided the climate allows outdoor cultivation.
