Slender Hinoki False Cypress
Slender Hinoki False Cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Gracilis') is a slow-growing evergreen conifer that typically reaches a mature height of 8 to 10 feet and a width of 3 to 4 feet over 10 years. Its foliage is a deep green color and arranged in flattened sprays, with the branches slightly pendulous. The tree is commonly used as a specimen plant in rock gardens, as a foundation plant, or as a screen. It is tolerant of a range of soil types, as long as they are well-draining.
