American Mayapple
Podophyllum peltatum, commonly known as American Mayapple, is a deciduous, woodland perennial with large, umbrella-like leaves and small, white flowers that bloom in late spring, followed by yellow fruits in summer. Thriving in partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soil, this variety is perfect for woodland gardens and naturalized areas. The distinctive foliage and flowers of Mayapple provide a lush, green ground cover in shaded locations.
