Magnificent Hinoki Cypress
The Magnificent Hinoki Cypress, also known by its scientific name Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Magnifica', is a stunning evergreen tree that can grow up to 30 feet tall and 15 feet wide. Its foliage is dense and lush, with flattened sprays of bright green scale-like needles that have a slightly yellowish tint. As the tree matures, its branches develop an attractive reddish-brown bark that adds to its overall appeal. The Magnificent Hinoki Cypress is a slow-growing tree that prefers moist, well-drained soils and partial shade to full sun exposure. It is an excellent choice as a specimen tree in a garden or as an ornamental tree in a landscape.
