Whitebarked Himalayan Birch
The Whitebarked Himalayan Birch (Betula jacquemontii) is a medium-sized deciduous tree that is known for its striking white bark. The bark peels in large, papery sheets, revealing the smooth, chalk-white bark underneath. In addition to its attractive bark, the Whitebarked Himalayan Birch produces triangular, serrated leaves that turn a bright yellow in the fall before dropping.
